My wife grew up in eastern Ohio and made me do a major "HUH?" when I first heard her call a woody a "BEAVER WOOD" ( as in,"look at that cool beaver wood" while looking at a wood-sided wagon). Chalk it up to local phraseology. No insult or demeaning reference was intended... I think...
