Well visit #7 and no good news to report! }

But, the service manager said that he would call Good Year on my behalf.
I took some pics of the defective tire. See for yourself.
I'll keep you all updated!

Not too sure what defect you're
showing us, but it looks like
you've been cornering very hard
and the tire is rolling over
onto it's outer edge, possibly
slightly underinflated. Was
there some other defect pictured
that I missed?

I agree with MrT, what is the defect you are referring to? Only 13000 Km...have the tires been rotated? The significant wear of the trailing edges in the first photo indicate that the tire needs to be rotated.

The tires were roated at 8000 KM after I removed the winter tires this spring.

Yesterday the dealer said that my car drifts left because of the tires. Once they rotate the front tires, I drift right!
Three different DC dealers said that my front tires are warped and should be replaced. Alignment and everything else is fine. I don't drive hard, nor do I corner fast!

During the winter, I didn't have a single problem with my tires, alignment or anything!

The service manager also stated that roughly 35-40% of all the new 2001 cars they sold came back with some sort of tire trouble!

Zed, I'm still playing the runaround game between the dealer and Goodyear, each blames the other. I make sure I get in writing what was done. I've had problems starting at about 450 miles!!! Now tire in question is on the rear and the pull is less. Young punk at Goodyear said, " We see this problem with cars with 100,000 miles, not something this new, must be a lack of quality in this car ." Blamed everything EXCEPT THE TIRE!!! I'll be going to a different Goodyear dealer next time! >(

I saw the tire in person- indeed it DOES look like its rolling OVER. Zed said that they put this tire on the OTHER side, same vibration. BUT the replacement that was on did NOT show wear like the bad tire does. The poic is deceiving, there is a wear pattern at a 45 degree angle at the outer edge. There were 5 PTs here last nite, not one had this pattern (except this one). There is NO DOUBT in my mind that its a bad tire.

You were up in Bolton at a fruit market (lost). By the time you got here, it was dark.

Sorry dude! (if your steering wheel is NOT vibrating, you don't have this prob, pretty sure anyways)
