Take heart. When I was your age (and speeding) I usually (9 times out of 10) had to "assume the position" before being given a ticket, sometimes several, and a few times taken "downtown". Someday, when I'm old and gray enough that folks think me daft, I'll actually tell why I was so popular with the police in 3 states.
Just be polite. You may not like what is happening, but they do have a job to do and nobody likes to take BS on the job. You really shouldn't be over the limit near residential areas, but when on the highways and byways and it is not near the end of the month, you can always get by with 5 over and in some localities 10 over. But if you get a ticket, realize that you were speeding and the limit is the law. We all make choices, adulthood is all about accepting the concequences of an incorrect choice graciously. Besides, bitchin' about it just got me beat over the head while wearing cuffs. It's a hard way to learn, but it works wonders.

Hey, I know how you feel, I got a ticket for speeding too! I go to court on Monday 2/26 and I sure hope I am not charged $148.00!! I am going to throw myself on the mercy of the court. I have never had a speeding ticket until now so I hope my fee will be lower. I am taking the defensive driving course which will take some of the speeding points off my license. I now drive like an old lady to be sure I don't get another ticket. Live and learn.

I have not had a ticket in years. The last time I was driving a 1985 plymouth turismo that had no speedometer-It was there, but it did not work. Cops do like to pull over young men-my nephew has TONS of trouble with that. Of course, he drives a 2000 Camaro SS, that could have something to do with it.

Last week had PT to 110 mph plus before backing off due to concern of ticket. I believe it would have gone 120 mph easily. No, I won't try it again, but simply had to find out what PT had in it.
