Default Key fob and where to point !

Where, exactly, is the little device that one needs to point the security key fob at on the Cruiser?

It seems in some areas of town, the fob doesn't always work from certain distances, and I was wondering where the receiving device is for the fob transmission....

...please ???...thanx !!!!

Good question, Juicy. I have been in parking lots ( Best Buy as an example) where the damn thing doesn't work. Had to use the key to get in, and then the ALARM goes off! Had to start the car to turn off the alarm. Not a fun experience with everyone looking at you.

I have few suggestions that seem to work good for me...

I hold the key fob under my chin (yes, actually touching my chin) and it seems to allow me to unlock and lock my door from farther away....

If I am in a large parking lot... I will walk over to a tall metal lightpost in the parking lot and hold the fob up to the lamppost. It also allows me to use my key fob from a distance...

Oops... forgot to mention... don't use this option during a thunderstorm beacuse you may never make it to your Cruiser...

BK, do you happen to have a lot of dental work, fillings etc?
Can you pull in any CB transmissions or short wave broadcasts from your chin? j/k Tom

I've tried holding the fob to my chin with my aftermarket alarm and it does increase the distance that I can use my fob. Haven't tried the lightpost trick yet.

The remote lock module is under the dash top, right above the centre bezel. I don't know if that's the sensor thingy as well or not, but that's where the module is!
