Talking My Super Cruiser

Yesterday, I was on my way home when a guy in a Grand Marquis stopped in the lane next to me and started asking about the car. He wanted to know how I liked it and what was done and all. What I liked best was when he said, "What's this one? Is that the Super Cruiser thing?" After we talked for a second, he said he'd go buy one and took off (in the direction of the dealership, actually...).

Earlier, when getting gas, another guy in a huge van told me he loved the car.

This is great...I love getting complements!

Too bad no one here uses signals...

Updates on the car: dash is smooth and painted, center console is painted, floor console is painted, 5.6" screens have been moved to the ceiling. BIG work starts in a few days. No hints at what that is, though...you'll all have to see when done.

I'm saying it is shaved door handles, but just because he mentioned it in an earlier post!!!

By the way-that is one of the reasons I don't like driving the beater-I am now used to people staring, pointing and asking about the dreamer! Driving the omni is like being invisible-right down to people pulling out in front of me!

You either love 'em or you hate 'em. The PT brings a response from people almost every time.

Might be suicide doors...might be shaved handles...might be chopping it into a Neon...might be going to the top of a hill and removing the brakes...who knows.

Thanks for the complements! I prefer people who like it too. Hopefully, I'll find more people who like it than don't over the next year and round of shows. I fully intend to win for whatever category I'm in at NOPI, so might find a few people who REALLY don't like it there...but I guess that's part of it.

Brake work being done right now...turns out the rear pads and rotors are quite dead.
