Default PT RIP-OFF>are you believing this !!

Hey all,
the evening news out of Montgomery Ala. this evening ran a story about a thieves ripping-off "portions" of a PT Cruiser earlier today or last night in Huntsville, Al. Believe it or not, the portions they were refering to (and they had a picture to prove it) were BOTH DOORS on the passenger side of a Cruiser! seems as if someone had opened the doors and then unbolted them at the hing mounts and they were-GONE !!!!!!!!!
-Zip-Poof-dissapeared!! (they didn't show the passengers side)--------- this is not an April fools joke- !! just one of the strangest things I've seen/heard in a long time.
if I can find some more info I will post the web page for interest.
As for me I'm bringing my new one month old Cruiser inside to sleep at the foot of the bed at night, it will be hard to explain to my wife BUT ...well you understand!!!
Regards:
C`berry PT

Maybe someone wanted to experiment with a suicide door conversion, but didn't want to screw up their own doors. If they figure it out, there could be a similar story about someone missing the driver side doors.

Hmmmmm, I'm guessing somebody got a little
impatient waiting for replacement doors.

Yeah, looks like they needed a repair to the passenger side and wanted a good paint match. Was it Inferno Red? Maybe when the guy gets new doors he will actually get the originals back.

Since there's no hood ornament to steal and hang around the neck, I guess they like the doors? That'll be a tough group to track down?!

I saw a post from Europe a while back saying that the wings ornament was being stolen over there.

What ever happened to setting the car alarm, or a motion detector light system. I guess if people want something bad enough to steal it, nothing would make a difference. All I can say is, Thieves Beware, if you try to rip me off. Colt
