Cool Mephisto Video: Air Suspension

Well I finally got off my lazy butt and did some work. Got school assignments done a day early so I had time to kill so I went and got a tripod for the cameras (really nice one and only $20!). Got out the old camcorder and found someone crammed a battery in the wrong way. An hour later I stumbled on some medical type clamps and yanked the battery out. Not long after, I completed my first video work...the air suspension in action.

No fade-in, no fade-out, no fancy graphics or music. Just a Cruiser demonstrating air suspension. The file is about 1.6MB so most people should be able to download it quickly. I'm providing links to the directory the file is in and to the file itself. I have not "officially" added this to the site yet as the video section will be added when I finish the complete appearance and organization overhaul by the end of November. Enjoy, and tell me whatcha think. Suggestions on formats for new Mephisto site are welcome.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!

Where do they put the air tank on that thing? I am intrigued with the air suspension but don't want to give up trunk space and muck up the interior with switches and such.

I love it...now what's your favorite ride height!?

Can you make it bounce on it's front tires like the low riders?

Looks great. I remember you saying that you want to get it lower? That would look sweet! Get it down to the weeds man! I like it.

Thanks everyone. Gotta get drop spindles to go lower...waiting to hear about that. Car won't bounce...could damage the car and the valves aren't fast enough and the hoses not big enough. My air tank is in the back between the rear seats and sub enclosure, as are the compressors. However, an air tank and compressor(s) can be mounted under the car, or so I'm told.

The burnout video comes next semester along with mega-turbo. Powertrip mentioned something about how he could smoke the tires into oblivion at 40 mph, so let's see what it'd do from 0-60 without traction control...
