Default case of missing sway bar solved

well I got a check engine lite Saturday so I had my wife take it in today to have it checked and they said it would be 3 weeks before they could see the car so I had her inquire about the missing sway bar. she said the guy disappeared for 20 minutes and came back and told her it was ordered and should be here in time for my check engine lite appointment. so I will be a happy camper if it shows up and they install it with no hassles. the check engine lite went out......so now I wait.

my advice to everyone is don't wait too long before Chrysler has a chance to put a "stop payment" on it

My dealer flat out refused to install one and said there is one inside the tube. I told them to please hold their breaths until I buy another car from them.

What??? You get a potentially serious "check engine" signal and that dealership's repair shop won't see your car for three weeks? Is that right? If so, that's outrageous.

When my tranny sensors were acting up and forced me to drive in second gear all the way home on a Friday, I showed up first thing Monday am ( without an appt.) and told them I wanted it fixed today. And they did.
I can't believe you have to wait three weeks. Is there another service dept you can go to?

Three weeks for an appointment for a CEL? I'd get the service manager on the phone and tell him if it isn't in the shop by tomorrow, you'll call the zone office. That'll get him running. I could see waiting for the sway bar, but for a CEL, you should be able to get in right away.

Did they at least look up the code so you know what it was? What if it was low oil pressure??? I'd be upset if they told me 3 DAYS! 3 Weeks is absurd for a check engine light. Do they read their own manuals?
