I'm glad I didn't see any stations around here doing that or I would have felt the need to stop there and beat the crap out of the owner.....then I'd be in jail now. I don't want to go to jail.
If you succumb to that need, please remember that the owner is rarely the underpaid/under appreciated/overworked minimum wage earner behind the cash register...

Yes, I know. I wouldn't really do this, I just needed to vent. I feel better now.

Unforunately it is true some stations are raising prices drastically. BUT, IT IS ILLEGAL. News reports suggested to those who were over charged to save receipts and then call your local district attorney, and violators will be prosecuted.

Everyone should donate blood, it's the one thing we can do at this point to help.

Just heard the head guy from Conoco on the radio. The oil companies have not had a significant raise in prices (over $.01) anywhere. The prices going up is done at the retailor level. They are sending out letters to warn their distributors to knock it off. There is an adequate supply if we just buy as usual and don't go into a panic buying mode.

Heard on the radio this morning that the Colorado atty. general stated there would be no price gouging, and violators would be prosecuted. I did see many people filling up last night, but no outrageous hikes.

My boyfriend OWNS a gas station, and if I caught him doing that, I'D beat the crap outta him.

Prices in the bay area vary..Again, those who raise their prices and gouge will be remembered! I'm so glad that everyone realizes it is the station owners and NOT the oil companies...At the moment..there is plenty of fuel...Although things might change drastically if steps are taken against the middle east...We may have to all sacrifice abit if that comes to past.

I had to get away from the TV and news for a while today. I adorned my Cruiser with the red, white and blue and took her out to fill up the gas tank. The gas stations that were charging $3.65 and $5.10 per gallon yesterday had the cheapest prices in town - $1.47. Well, I passed up the lowest-priced stations and paid $1.55 right next door to the station owner that held his price the same all day yesterday. It felt real good to pay more!!
