Hehehe Great minds think alike-- I had that coment once and responded with a similar comeback but suggested I could make far more money delivering for the crematorium. Wanna ride shotgun?

Drove mine to a funeral, that's as close to being a hearse as I hope it ever gets!
Some people just don't get it, and never will. Kinda like most of us & the Aztek thing-y.
( And there's no point in trying to persuade! LOL).
Let her think her Camry( or similar cookie cutter) is really better. We don't want her type!

PS- I got a good laugh out of the "want a ride in back?" comment. That's the one you always wish you'd have thought of 'in the moment'. (Big old Thumbs UP, I'll definitely be remembering it for possible future use).

I think PT WIdows saying would suffice......

Default riposte

I was picking up some seafood takeout for my mother and an *ahem* elderly lady and her friend both got out of their spiffy new inkspot yellow VW Beetle.

She made a smug comment which I overheard to her lady-friend about the "hearse" that parked next to her. To which I replied as an aside to her.

"Yes, I can see how death _would_ be weighing heavily on your mind these days."

I know it was a little harsh for the moment but her snide attitude really pi$$ed me off!

...And I suppose they would rather be driving their boxy normal cars. I also bet she thinks civics are fast. Poop on that! Id rather spend 90% of my piddly income on my car then waste it on other crap (expensive clothes, expensive food, civics )
