There is a dream 1 on the dealer's lot here for $20,895 if anyone is interested.

There are still at least 5 on the lot here, and my hubby is circling like a hawk! He is determined they will be selling them dirt cheap soon, and we can get one and have enough left over to paint it.

The DC2's are gonna be cool, and the turbo is like icing on the cake, eh? However, I could never think of trading in my Dreamer. She's part of the family now.
My wife asked me what order I love the objects d'amour. I told her:
#1 Wifey
#2 Son
#3 Dreamer
She didn't believe me, so she asked, "If there was a fire, who or what would you save?" I responded:
"Why, I would put you and Kaipo in the Dreamer of course!"
Pushing the issue, she continued: "What if you could only save one?"

"Come on now! That's not fair...."

ANNOUNCER: And now, folks, another episode of that heart-warming family comedy...

FUJMON KNOWS BEST

(Cue theme music.)

FUJMON: Hello, typical nuclear family!

SON: Daddy's home! Whadidya bring me?

FUJMON: Nothing, son. But I got a new California Duster for the Dreamer!

SON: Aw, shucks.

FUJMON: Now, now son. Anyway, it's time for you to take that old toothbrush and completely detail the Dreamer's tires, remember? If you start now, you'll finish in time for supper.

SON: Yes, Daddy. (Slouches off.)

FUJMON: Ah, he's a chip of the old block. Speaking of block, I need to finish painting the Dreamer's engine block Inca Gold, and--oh, hi, sweetums.

WIFE: Well, you're home! Good! Now we can go the grocery and...

FUJMON: No can do, sweetums. Spent the food budget on those chrome wiper blades for the Dreamer.

WIFE: But what are we gonna do about dinner?

FUJMON: Oh, I had a bite to eat at a Krispy Kreme on the way home, sweetums. Got a lot of nice compliments on the Dreamer while I was there. I'm sure you can whip up something for yourself and the boy. There's still some oatmeal left from breakfast, I'll bet.

WIFE: Gee, thanks.

FUJMON: Now, sweetums. By the way, how are you doing on knitting the cashmere car cover for the Dreamer?

WIFE: Still working on it. Listen, Violet called and we're invited to a party at their place Saturday night--

FUJMON: No can do, sweetums. You know every Saturday night is my Cruise-In at the Denny's. The other Cruiser owners would be quite upset if me and the Dreamer didn't show up. Can't let them down, especially Lisa.

WIFE: I think you love that damned car more than your wife and son!

FUJMON: That's not true, sweetums. I love you all.

WIFE: Yeah? In what order?

FUJMON: Well...you first, then the boy, what's his name--

WIFE: His name is Horace!

FUJMON: Oh, yeah. Well, him, and the Dreamer is third.

WIFE: Yeah, yeah. Well, what if there was a fire?

FUJMON: Why I'd take you and the boy--

WIFE: Horace!

FUJMON: Yeah, him, and take you away in the Dreamer. Of course, you'd both have to pledge not to touch anything in the Dreamer first.

WIFE: Oh, great. What if you could only save one of us?

FUJMON: That's not fair!

WIFE: Answer the question!

FUJMON: Well, the Dreamer is a limited edition, and--

(Sound of fist smacking against nose.)

FUJMON: Ow! Now I'll bleed all over the Dreamer's upholstery!

(Cue theme music.)

ANNOUNCER: Tune in next week for another heart-warming episode of FUJMON KNOWS BEST, where we'll hear Fujmon say...

FUJMON: Trade my son, what's his name, for a chrome rear back-up ligfht surround for the Dreamer? That's outrageous! How could you ask such a thing? Of course, if you threw in the chrome dipstick handle, too...

Sounds to me like Fujmon is trying to get his priorities straight.

JOEM, I still say you are one funny guy.

I know I am a true PTE when I can understand that entire conversation, JOEM!!! Heck, I think I've lived something like that a time or two..

WIFE: So, what are we doing this weekend? Want to go catch that new movie with the kids?

ME: Aww, honey, you KNOW we have to get out there early Saturday morning to wash my Taupe beauty!

WIFE: OK, that won't take too long if I help out..

ME: Yeah...and when we are done with that, roll it into the garage for a light dusting of Z-6 all around.

WIFE: Well...that still should be plenty of time for a movie afterwards...

ME: Yeah but as soon as we Z-6, you KNOW we are going to have to follow up with another coat of Z-2...

(*cue the rolling of wife's eyes and exasperated look*)
