Thanks for the replies, and good luck to all who want one quickly!
Y'all absolutely DO NOT know what torture it is to be cruiserless. I never knew I was such a snob, till I had to start driving my sister's 12-15 y/o mazda mx whatever. I almost cry everytime I see a white cruiser. Anyway.... BAMADREAMER-- what dealer did you use? Ours here in Decatur sucks royally. They are not even 5-star rated and they have been here for years. I am thinking of trying our club sponsor in Jasper, figured I could trust them. |

my dealer said. "We'll be lucky if we get dream cruiser series 1 in next year." So my guess is DCS2 will arrive in Slovenia 2005 or 2006 if it arrievs here at all. ![]()

The DreamCruisers are pretty much a package deal. The only true options are choice of transmission and a block heater.
The DCS2's will all be Turbos with the spoiler (etc.). I imagine, like with the DCS1's, manual transmissions will be rare. I actually ordered mine from the factory... As far as availability, I would expect the same thing as the DCS1s. Five star dealers will each get 1 (then you'll get your phone call and will need to beat everyone down there). After that I would expect that all dealers will get one (or more) based upon their sales allocations. At that point you would probably be able to order one. The DCS2 is pretty high priced, roughly $3000 more than the DCS1s DCS1's "manufacturer's suggested retail price of $23,170 for the manual transaxle version and $23,995 for the automatic transaxle version " DCS2s"The U.S. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for PT Dream Cruiser Series 2 will be $26,475 for the manual transaxle version and $26,915 for the automatic transaxle model." What's interesting is usually the AT is about $700 - $800 more. It may be that they are hitting up the manual version with a premium for the GETRAG tranny they they will have versus the regular manual PTs (and DCS1). Who knows what markup the 5 stars will be looking to get on the first ones. |

I have already given my name to my dealer, and he is going to let me know when I can order the car.
Guess what I am trading in for this baby? A 1998 Honda Accord Coupe EX-V6. A really nice car, but it is getting old, and the new Accord does not attract me at all. You gotta love the tangerine pearl color on this car! ![]() |
