My girlfriend who was with me at the Falls Cruise called me when the 1st. tower was hit.She works in Manhatten and can see people trying to leave the city. Her company is trying to send all employees to a hotel for saftey.

Safe but so very shaken and terrified! We've got so many friends in New York...many of which I can not get thru to...My husband was at SFO ready to fly out...grounded thank God.. What is our world coming to when a bunch of animals see fit to kill so many innocent men,women and children...God help us all! :/

I learned that a Co-worker's Girlfriend worked on one of the top floors in one of the Towers.
Still No word on her.

I cannot believe those people in the Middle East that are jumping up and Down with Joy that this happened. They are so ignorent of their Destiny.
One GREAT man once said " Forgive them for they do not know what they are doing".
These poor souls !!!!

I doubt you'd know me, Wendy, but I much appreciate the thoughtfulness of your question. We on the west coast are fine, but heartsick. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was touched by this horror.

Could have been a beautiful day! It started out that way, finally cooled to a nice temperature and enough rain to make things fairly green again. It is so peaceful and beautiful here on the farm; wish the world could feel the serenity. Hard to imagine the chaos and the pain and suffering. My heart & prayers goes out to all involved and May God Bless America again.

Never thought I would see a day when I would feel as hopeless as the day JFK was
killed, but today is it.
Of all things, I was attending a military briefing at an Air Force base when the news
broke; spent the whole day there, tracking things locally.
I know some people think all of us news types are cold-hearted ghouls looking for
sensational stories. I can tell you, though, today was not a good day to be a newspaper
reporter, even 1,500-plus miles away from the scene.
Not even our Cruiser could put a smile on my face today.
Our hopes and prayers are with those whose lives have been wrenched apart by
this insanity and hatred.
