Noooooo! What will happen to me and all the merchandise from the different companies I am bringing??!?! I'm doomed!
![]() Make sure you are on stand-by Friday night with your cell phone on. } ![]() Also now if Race and Street will be on the US side. What happens to all the stuff we ordered from them? Will we get slammed when we attempt to cross the border with it when after pick it up from them? :/ |

I was at an airshow today, Canada Customs had a booth- I talked to them...
ANY item over $60 value, whether its a gift or not, is subject to the laws of THIS land- the recipient will be forced to pay 15% taxes on the Cdn value, converted at a rate of 1.51. This applies to mail and couriered items. At the border, it is up to the guard of the day! If the prizes being brought over are indeed prizes, and the guard likes your face, no prob. Otherwise, there MAY be a duty to be paid (if non-automotive parts) and/or 15% taxes. I explained the situation, they asked that I call the Rainbow Bridge guardhouse. They are open 24 hours a day, I am about to call now! My advice- just be honest (this may change in about 1 hour) S |

Im sorry guys, but being a proud Canadian, why don't all of us other Canadians purchase their parts from a Canadian company? I could understand for some of the 'unavailable' custom parts -- but most items can be ordered through your local performace shop. Support OUR economy guys....
The prices aren't much different anyhow, with the exchange rate and all. Besides, the service/warranty is much nicer when its close to home! |

Ptrip- I agree except for 2 things:
a) PT parts are tough to find here, as are experienced PT parts installers (at least that has been my find). R & S haver parts, installers, and very nice prices. b) Race and Street offered MANY door prizes, as well as a cash donation towards the park expenses. No-one that I found on OUR side even came close to that generousity. C eh N eh D eh |
