Default Done Any Aftermarket Stereo Mods?

Just wondering what you "Autophile" PT'ers out there have done to get the toons sounding good in the Cruiser.

I've never owned a car without upgrading the sound system. This is what I have in my PT:

Rockford Fosgate RFX-9200 CD deck
Soundstream Reference 405 amp
Diamond Audio M561components
12" Image Dynamics IDQ-II sub

Right now I just have a prebuilt box holding the 12". Soon I will construct a speaker box and amp mounting that emulates a rear shelf so I can store things underneath. I'd like to make it pretty nice, covered in vinyl with a PT logo incorporated. As soon as I do, I'll post pics.

So...what do yall have?

All I did was put in a 10" sub in the back with a 300 watt power amp. Nothing special, but it does sound a lot better.

This weekend, I get stock speakers replaced by Kicker ones and then a custom enclosure in the back holding a 15" screen and two 10" L7 Kickers with something like a 600W amp, I believe. Also getting RCA inputs and AC plug permanently installed into the custom enclosure. I'll have pics later on...maybe late Saturday or Sunday.

Not sure if this qualifies, but I added the OEM sub to the read panel- did NOT want to loose any storage space, so it was an expensive, yet gratifying solution..

Mopar is ok but for the money you can do better, I didnt want to give up the space my PT is 2001 it replaced the rear corner panel . I understand they now have a unit that goes under the passenger seat instead, you may want want to look in to some other ideals for the money. just my 2 cents

Kicker is great, and they're made right here in Oklahoma! Haven't done anything to my factory "system" yet, but the Mopar Sub sounds like something for me. I need all the space I can get.

I was paranoid when I first got the car to do any mods of any kind most esp anything to do with the interior but how I'm so disappointed in mself for not doing sound upgrades to it while I had the chance. The quality (and quantity) of the tunes that come stock with it are seriously indaequate and coming from an import pickup with an excellent system I feel like i'm missing something
