Default New roving Chrysler Proving Grounds in Charlotte

Back when the PT was introduced, Chrysler traveled the country with some of them for invitees to test drive. They're doing it again.
I just received an invitation from Chrysler and it's being held here in Charlotte June 28 to July 01. The card says:

-----------------quote-----------------
"America's Free Driving Event.

It's a test drive with a twist (plenty of them in fact). Your opportunity to drive innovative Chrysler vehicles on a course in your community, It's called Chrysler Proving Grounds.

The Cars, The Course: Feel the power and agility of the popular PT Cruiser as well as the new Sebring family of cars and other Chrysler vehicles on a specially designed course of slalom curves and other obstacles.

The Pitch: There is none. No sales people. No Pressure to buy. Just pure driving thrills in responsive vehicles we supply. Plus there'll be historic/concept cars and interactive games to play."
-----------------unquote-----------------

I gotta go just to drill them about the 2002 PT and to see the concept cars. Hummmmm....wonder what they'll be? I'll let you all know.

That is so cool-you can give them my e-mail address in case they need more drivers!

I don't know anyone at Chrysler. I got the invitation last year too but was out of town when it happened and couldn't go. I do know that last year they drove the PT's on public streets like in a caravan along with a parking lot slalom. And they did it in a number of cities, not just Charlotte. Although last year they were introducing the PT and it was just PT's and nothing else. Apparently this year there will be Sebrings, PT's, 300M's and others along with the historic & concept cars. Seems to be a lot bigger deal this year than last.

I went to the ones in
Philadelphia and Englishtown, NJ
As close as I can figure, if
you go to the Chrysler site and
make a request for brochures
and say you're going to buy a
car within the next 6 months
when you fill out the form you
have a chance at being invited.

I filled out a few requests
for different models and wound
up going twice. Lots of fun,
bring your camera for shots
of the GT Cruiser and Panel
Cruiser (they were there last
time) or maybe the PT
Convertible this year (I hope)!

You can also probably sign
up for the Jeep 101 off road
driving course, held the same
day. Even more fun than panic
stops in the PT Cruiser (part of
the road test of the anti-lock
brakes.) Can't wait till this
year!!

WOW!!! Get to drive without paying for the gas! You've got to jump on that opportunity, if for no other reason but to get some freebies. Have fun!
