Default New Head Unit

Just installed Alpine 8763 head unit... what a complete difference this upgrade has made. Even the factory speakers sound 10 times better. This is an awesome unit that looks sharp, too. Will be upgrading the speakers soon. Already have the Polk DX7 for rear and some Polk MM3065 for the front. Can't wait to hear what all this will do.

With the METRA wire kit and in-dash adapter, installation was a snap and it looks very factory original.

Does this fit the opening or did you have to use an adaptor? I'd love to add a high-end head unit but am leery of the "aftermarket look".

The METRA kit looks just like factory install. I hope to take some digital pictures next week and will email one to you. I would highly recommend this Alpine. If you are patient, you can find it on UBID for about $237. It's last years model, but I prefer it over this years version. You should see all the tricks it can do, aside from sounding great.

You know, there's nothing like having a better stereo in your car than in your house! Works for me!

I have an Alpine as well. I haven't changed out the speakers. After the new head unit it didn't seem needed anymore. Yes
I had to use an adapter but it is really not noticable...just blends right in.
