The hairdrier works fine for getting the dealer logo off. You can use a little WD40 to remove the rest of the glue residue without harming the paint.

Ditto on the hairdryer for removing the decal. I'd be really leery of using a heat gun. They are designed to remove paint and in the hands of an amateur (ie: yours truly) could customize your cruiser unfavorably. I used Goo Gone to remove the residual adhesive. Make sure you use a 100% cotton cloth so you don't create swirl marks in the paint finish.

Congrats on the new obsessions -- your new PT Cruiser and visiting the PTE web site!

Congratulations Cruisin02 and welcome aboard ! I've had my Patriot Blue LE since Mar.16 and love the color. My dealer took their sticker off and I'd get them to get that film off too.

I have to laugh. When I look back at the day I got my PT, the dealership never even got the sticker on before I was there to pick her up. I brought the sticker home in an envelope.

It took me a while to figure out what decal you were all talking about. Im still not 100% sure. IM sure glad I didnt get one stuck to the paint of my car. I cant believe they still do that. Though, I sure wouldn't have minded taking the logo sticker home in an envelope. Now that I think about it, I have a dealer logo plaque on the back of my classic chevy 1964. In those days the made holes in the trunk and bolted it in on from the inside. It is actually kind of cool seeing the original (Manhasset Cheverolet) dealer logo on a 37 year old car.

Dealers used to really butcher the car by drilling through the sheet metal. I'm glad they don't do that anymore. Some of the dealer logos and really hideous. You would be stuck with it for all eternity unless you had a body shop fill the holes and touch up the paint. <Shivers> Gives me cold chills just thinking about it.

I think your questions have been answered. I ditto the Zaino, they have a web site to order.
Welcome to the forums!
