I like the new site! I also liked the old site! Different presentations, same info. The new site makes it a little easier to find things - not so scrunched together. This is a good example of team work and I know everyone appreciates both Sean and Mike (and anybody else who had a part) for all the work they've done. As for me, I impressed with anyone who can do this stuff...I'm sure no computer whiz.

Darn computer's. What I wanted to say is the old site is warmer and more exciting but the new site is much easier to print. So if Marc could add some "Flare" to the new site it would be cool. But right now the old site gets my vote.

I like the new site. Well, kinda', it does make me sad that I will not be attending. The presentation is clear. It has a clean look to it. The amount of effort going into the event is simply amazing.

the new site, with its TINY ad, not "advertisements" like I stated, should go into FULL run by tonite.

Mike, I sent you a few emails today, please have a read.

I am a web designer, it's what I do for a living here in Philadelphia. I think the new site is 100 times better than the old. Easier to find information, easier on the eyes, etc...I could go on.. Nice job guys.

I think maybe non-design people are drawn to the older site because it had a warmer & friendlier color palette....as opposed to the cold corporate blue feelings the new one portrays.

just my .02

I agree Jody. I had a REALLY difficult time with the old one. Must have been done with 1024/780 in mind. Most folks run at 800x600... plus.. Netscape didn't handle it well at all. I never knew what would pop up at the next reload LOL

The new site could be 'softened' a tad with some pics.. .but I love it. Looks really slick and readable. But it has to be kept 'up to the minute' like Sean did on the old one

gotta say i love the old one way better. the new one yes for organization but is just plain (nothing exciting about it). the old one had flair.

gotta face it we bought our cars because they were unique and off the mainstream of vehicles thats why i like the old one. it wasn't as someone put corporate the same as everyone elses. we like a unique website.

I am a HACK!, oh, and a PT Event organizer (hobbiest). I started the orig. site with 50 cruisers in mind and lots of help! Well.... 132 cruisers LATER, 100 donations, a perpencity to "do it myself", it got out of control. Instead of apeasing evryone, I spent my time searching for sites, sponsors, ... Pics sent to me were sized wrong- without the pic on the front page, this WAS 800 600, again, outta control.

The new site was done by pros, it took 2 months or so to complete, I hope its easier to read/navigate!

I have LOST real-time updating capabilities- MIKE- PLEASE READ!

Off to wash the PT- later

Sean:

I see where you are coming from regarding the amount of time needed to update the website, and I don't mean to upset the pumpkin cart, or open a new can of tunafish, but the old site still looks better.

The graphics design of the new site is more efficient, but lacks any of the warmth of the old one. Like the PT Cruiser designers, could they not bring a touch of the old (site) into their designs ? The new one should at least incorporate some of the "retro" look of the old one.
