Default New Color for Interior - One the Horizon

A DC Exec told me yesterday that there may be a new color for the interior soon. He said it will be either a dark blue or a dark grey. He mentioned that there was a poll taken and a new color for the interior is a must have for the very near future.

Would that be in addition to, or in lieu of, the current grey/white (oops, sorry, taupe/pearl beige)? I've seen some interesting customs, and I have read some don't like the current setup. I think that applies mostly to the pewter insert examples--not much color in those.

Dark blue or grey? DC should perk it up more than that. I like my silver, but I have to admit that the "shades of grey interior" is a bit drab (I really liked some red inserts I saw at NF). The last car I had was silver too but with a red interior, I liked that, even if the red did fade a bit after many years.

The blue and beige would look
good. They did a special
"Limited" interior in leather
for the 2000 Sebring convertible
in blue and cream that really
stood out.

That would be in addition to the current taupe.
They are working on limited edition "theme" PT's.

Let me explain how DC works with "so-called" limited and theme packages.

When sales become slow, they have in their "so-called" back pocket something special for all the car lines to perk sales and media attention. As long as sales are good, there is no need to bring these to market. But I think in the really near future, just like the flames package, you will see some more goodies from DC for the PT. I feel, and I may be wrong the "Woody Package" this fall.
