MORE ON DOOR LOCKS

Once in a while the doors will not unlock with the key fob. I've gotten the other key fob, same thing. 30 minutes later everything works fine. I went to the dealer and it worked great, nothing to fix. In fact he told me PT's are rarely in for service, just good cars. Anyone else had strange door lock operation?

I had this happen also when I was a gas station. Puzzled me till I saw two police cruisers sitting next to me. I think there was some type of radio interference. It worked perfect when I got to work!

On two, rare occasions, the locks have set of on a frantic "lock-unlock-lock-unlock-lock" adventure. I have 12K on the car and this has only happened twice and lasts only an hour. However, the last time it happened my daughter was in the back seat and found it to be very upsetting.

Other thatn this, 12K and not a single problem. Not bad for any new car. Especially nice for a new model in its first production year.

Actually this has happened to my PT on several occasions. I wondered if there was a battery in the transmitter and it was depressed in my pocket and temporarily drained. Usually worked again later in the day. Didn't loose much sleep over it or talk to the dealer.

I've had the same problem a few times, but haven't been able to correlate it to anything. No help, I'm afraid, but if I come up with anything, I'll certainly post it!

Whever I am downtown Toronto with the Chryco van, the doors WILL NOT lock/unlock with the fob. Few others with Chryco products have said the same thing. CN Tower has many xmitters on it!

have you tried this one. have the engine running and doors alocked. let the passenger get out and manually push the plunger(not the switch) down and then drive away. Do the doors lock when you hit 10 mph? mine dont. Ive noticed this when I dropped off a friend from workand when i get home I noticed that all the doors except the front passenger were unlocked

I've seen similar problems too. Sometimes when in certain areas i have to get right up to the car to lock/unlock. Attributed it to radio interference. Was a little embarased the second day I had the PT when I tried out the panic alarm. I had pulled in to a deserted parking lot about a mile from a little local airstip. The panic would not shut off! Had to do the unlock with key and start car deal to get it to stop. Of course once the alarm was doing 4 or 5 cars just happened to pull in to the lot.
