Default Loose oil filter mounting screw!

Just had my 18,000 mile check up. They said the mounting screw to the oil filter was loose. I'll have the dealer check it. Anyone else notice this problem?

What mounting screw to the oil filter? The filter screws onto a boss on the engine block?

That threaded pipe nipple
that the filter screws onto
also screws into the block.
Sometimes the thread adhesive
doesn't hold and the nipple
unscrews. They'll clean the
nipple and block threads,
apply a threadlock adhesive, and
screw it back in. Not a huge
problem, but it could cause a
pressure loss in the motor, so
believe your oil pressure light
and shut it down if it ever
turns on.
