I'm looking for solutions for keeping my headrests (front seats--especially driver's side) from vibrating up to their top position instead of staying locked down.
I read a post which suggested spreading the steel posts apart but that doesnt work for me. Could a type of loc-tite be a solution? I prefer them to always be in the down position anyway. I like them and dont want to remove them, just want to secure them in the down position. |

Howdy!
This has been happening since delivery day, May 17, 2000. In March of this year, I finally asked the dealership's people to check it out; their conclusion: That's just the way it is, won't stay in the down position, and is probably that way because you're short (5'2")--- well, now, ain't that an attitude! <g> These are the same people who can't figure out (or hear) the crunching noise my Cruiser makes in left-hand turns (an old Dodge truck noise). The dealer service manager did offer to glue the headrest in place, but I passed on that. If it's not working right, screwing it up further is not a solution. <g> Ragmop, next door to Ft.Worth Quote:
