I ordered the first time on Aug 12th. On December 5 when dealers were supposed to know their allocation, I kept calling my dealer, who claimed complete ignorance. I believe that too!
Luckily someone else on this board pointed me to a high allocation dealer in the Chicago area, and I ordered one on Dec. 7. It's now sitting in St. Louis, waiting for a truck! The 2nd dealer has been great. They called me with updates and let me know what was going on every step of the way. The first dealer never even let me know I wasn't going to get a 2001 model car, although they haven't updated their information in pttracker since Dec. 6 (duh). I cancelled with them in January when it was clear I was getting one from the 2nd dealer. The first dealer did give me back my deposit without any argument. I have a friend that ordered a cruiser and when she tried to cancel, her dealer told her she couldn't have the deposit back until the car came in and was sold! There are some really scummy dealers out there. |

Woog - Round 2 update! My second order has produced a D status as of yesterday. Original is still a bx and I will cancel that today and get my deposit back. Looks like I'll have my car for spring!
