Default HELP..it is possessed!

Has anyone had any (or all!) of the following problems? Have had our PT for 2 months and in that time, the rear window wiper has come on by itself twice, the drivers heated seat has come on by itself in the night (car was awfully toasty when I got into it in the morning!), car doors locked when the key was in the ignition and the door was just closed and last but not least, day before yesterday the alarm system took off on its own with no one even remotely near the car and I couldnot shut it off no matter what I tried. It finally stopped by itself in what seemed to be an eternity! Took it to the dealer and they said there have not been any reports of electrical problems such as this. All they could suggest was to bring it in for a couple of days and they would try to check the various grounds. Anyone else have a possesed PT? 8-o

Yikes! 8-o Those little gremlins are hard at work! Never had a problem with the PT...but had a Lincoln Navigator that the rear window would go down by itself and the lights on the running boards use to flash or come on all by themselves...The dealership couldn't find anything until it actually did it in front of the mechanic...Turned out to be a faulty wiring harness and was shorting out and causing havoc...Good luck!

My wife SWEARS that the rear window rolled down by itself one day... I still think something hit the switch in the back (like of of my kids toys or something)...

Sounds like the Body Control
Module (BCM) is having fits.
Take it to the dealer and have
them check it out. They'll
probably find nothing wrong
since it's an intermittant
problem and you'll have to go
back many times before they
replace it.

When it begins to levitate - you will know for sure !!
I hear there is an INCA PRIEST somewhere near Toluca who has successfully Exorcised a couple of PTs down that way !!
Good Luck !!

I have had a couple of quirks with the remote locks/security system. One key fob seems to work better than the other; just have to press a little firmer. And I have had the alarm cut loose twice. But, I think I may have accidentally engaged the panic button with other keys, coins or something in my pocket pushing the button when I bent over to pick something up.
I'm still working my way up the learning curve on all these high-tech dealies.

I'm imagining some disgruntled programmer adding lines of code to the control chip software (only on a few chips, when he's having a bad day) so the car does odd things at random "There, that'll drive 'em nuts". >) Sort of a modern day variation of the "washer on a string" story. :-/

Yeah Pars, but the INCA priest is only effective for INCA GOLD - which is just as mysterious...
