Default Help I need a perfect gift!

Okay, my 20th, I mean, 9th wedding aniversary (just seems like 20 years) is on Wednesday and I need the perfect gift for my wife. Last year I sent her some roses and gave her some Black Hills gold jewelry. This year I want to give her something really special, something she'll treasure forever, something that will look really cool on my PT. 18" wheels, lakepipes, any suggestions?

For those of you who are amazed that I even remembered my wedding aniversary, the key is to get married on a date that is easily rememberable due to it association with a visible commercial entity.

according to this site , the contemporary gift for the ninth aniversary is 'leather' .

This ought to open a world of possibilities, but this is a family site so I will refrain.

- start with breakfast in bed
- arrange for a sitter for Dan Jr. for the evening
- take Mrs. Dan to an expensive dinner, incl. wine (pre-select the wine, or at leat know what they have ahead of time and what she likes)
- pre-arrange with the restaurant to play your wedding song (or first dance tune) sometime during the evening
- flowers? naturally!!
- find a show or casino for afterwards, perhaps a little dancing
- midnite coffee at one of those coffee houses, sit outside of course
- cruise, in the PT, to one of those, umm, make-out places and reminice, or go for a walk
- gift- "day at the spa" certificates are hot these days

Now- about those lakepipes or rims, maybe you will find a set on the side of the road, something like I did with the remote that I found today. Let wifey know that you spent $ on her, for this special day INSTEAD of on BobCruz!! That'll melt her.

Congrats Dan and Mrs. Dan, all the best- Lori and I did 9 years in May. I think I owe her come to think of it.

I believe that Sean found the perfect addition to your anniversary celebration. I bet that you would be willing to provide it with a good home. That remote control PT requires a lot of care and it would not be fair to burdon Sean and PT-Widow with that.

That does suggest a PT Cruiser leather jacket, now on sale at Wyckoff

So, do you make it a tradition to get your $0.11 slurpee as an anniversary gift?

New chrome wheels and a set of safe tires says "love". It's a matter of protecting your wife, and ensuring years of safe bliss. Lake Pipes tend to ward-off the creatures that roam the wilds of South Dakota. Avoiding confrontations with these flesh-eating predators is not only recommended, but a sign of neverending love to your wife. A leather PT Cruiser jacket would protect her in the event of wild dog attacks, or sudden Alberta Clippers. These are all wonderful ideas! I'm just PROUD to know someone that is sooo giving and sensative!! I'm welling-up.

Isn't he just so romantic and come to think of it, I'M STILL WAITING FOR MINE. Dan, since Sean gave you some good ideas, and since I have not yet had the opportunity to enjoy these ideas yet try them out and let us know how the go over. I would put any thoughts of the PT aside for the evening (unless she is a lover of PTs like yourself) and pamper her.
Enjoy and congratulations.
Sean, we will talk about my anniversary present when I get home! Perhaps I can purchase it when I go shopping in two weeks! Hmmmm.

Lori, you are really racking up some big-time points here. Lets see, if I rememer right Sean now owes you for agreeing to the dual exhaust, the "abandoned PT, found at the side of the road", and now it appears he is also in arrears for an anniversary gift. Hmmm.......

Sean, old boy, you are sucking up real well, but I believe it will soon be time for some paying up! Look out... that exchange rate is a killer! Not to mention the 15% tax they stick you for when you cross back over. Are you sure all the new toys are worth it....

My husband and I celebrated our 17th anniversary this past weekend. (I was a child bride....LOL) Being a PT nut myself, I can appreciate your dilema but maybe she will surprise you with a treat for Bobcruz... you never know...
