Cool New Oil Drain Product

Have you seen Frams new 'Sure Drain" oil drain system. It has a plug replacement and a 6 inch hose that screws onto the plug. no wrenches are necessary as the plug is a valve that will only open when the hose is screwed on. Also has a dust cap for the plug to keep out the dirt.

I found it while I was wondering around a new Wally World. Its $12 but i thought i would try it any way.

I dont have a digital camera so i cant post pics for now. But I will scan some and put it on my Imagestation account soon.

Sounds cool, hope you don't drive over any parking curbd or road critters? Is the valve metal or plastic? I would hate to see the thing break off and drain you out on the road?

When I worked at a Honda Dealership. We had some new Honda's come in with these type of drain plugs.
I was always worried about somebody reaching under and releasing the valve....

Check out the link - there's no lever - it's a ball valve like on an air hose - only opens when you screw drain hose on - I like the idea - when I'm changing oil, and wind picks up, it sprays oil everywhere - this'd prevent that. Hmmmmm

that is smart....

ANyone read my next-to-last van oil-change adventure?? THIS would eliminate that from happening again.

Would THIS be considered a PT ACCESSORY? Need to clarify as the wife will undoubtedly ask and I need a defense strategy.

What was the Fram part #? Did you try yours yet to see if it fits properly? I like the idea.
