I found a product that eliminates dust caused by static electricity. Having a black Cruiser in Arizona, dust is a major problem. I have not done a controlled test, but the product has a great history and is not just something invented yesterday. It is called a Kafka Bros. Lightning Rod grounding strap. Here is some info off their website:
It was developed in 1981 by a leading custom pinstriper when he noticed the tremendous amount of static electricity the modern body materials could generate when wiped down, or merely by passing through the atmosphere. Every time he would try to paint, the static would draw the paint out of his brush and spatter it all over the panel making a mess. So out of frustration Steve Kafka made the first ground strap. The Lightning Rod is capable of bleeding off 20,000 static volts, is carbon impregnated, and solid brass grommeted. http://kooltie.com/lightening.html ciao, Ray ray@volition.com _______________________ Volition.com The Net's Oldest Free-Stuff Site |
