The Great Auto Race - May 31 - Buffalo, NY

Haven't been around the forum in quite awhile but I still see some familar names bantering about as usual...ahhh, the comfort zone!

Here's a thought for a PT get together...

There is a Centenial Celebration of the 1908 Great Auto Race - NY to Paris that will stop in Buffalo, NY on May 31.

Approximately 50 vintage cars will begin in NYC on Thursday, May 29 and will be finihsing the second leg in Buffalo on the 31st around 5pm.

The Buffalo Transportation Pierce Arrow Museum will be hosting this leg of the race with a vintage car show, music, food and the museum itself will be open to the public. The activity starts around noon with the car show.

As I do the web site for the museum (Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum) maybe I can have the owner reserve an area for PTE Forum members who wish to attend. I would need around 30-50 vehicles in order to reserve an area.

Any thoughts?

The event has been canceled as the Chinese gov't revoked all permits for the race.

The organizers are looking into having a shortened version of the race just in the US.
