Default Big Kahuna....

Thought of you this afternoon while walking thru Wal-Mart. Found a wave shaped cookie jar with a surfer on it. When you open the lid it plays one of three songs (alternates),Surfin Safari, Catch a Wave, or *I forget* (some other Beach Boy tune) Sorry, long day. Hang Loose.

NO WAY!!!

That sounds right up my alley! I am off work tomorrow and Walmart will be the first place on my list...

Was that in the housewares section? cooking? well, I'm sure I'll find it...

I already have a large surfing collection and that will be perfect! Thanks for thinking about me!

Hang Loose...

Kahuna - If it's not in the houseware section, be sure and check the Christmas gift isle...they always have new cookies jars there also. It might be a "seasonal" thing and one they don't carry all the time. So don't delay, they usually don't replenish those supplies.

Did you see it, too?

No, I haven't seen it Kahuna. I was afraid you might miss finding it though, if you only looked in the housewares. There is the POSSIBILITY of it being located in the "seasonal Christmas gift isle". These products are not reordered. When they are sold, that's it. Items that are left over after Christmas are usually clearanced. I will look for it, if this sleet and freezing rain will ever stop. Good luck finding one tomorrow and let us know how your search goes.

It was in housewares. Most of the cookie jars that it was stacked with were dogs that barked, wolves that howled, cows that moo, etc.

The two unusual ones were the surf one and a lighthouse that had a fog horn and a light when you opened it.

They were actually displayed on an end cap of the isle facing one of the main store isles. That, of course, may be different at your store.

Let me know if you don't find it and I will see what I can do here.

Well Kahuna, how did your search go?? I didn't make it to Walmart today (sleeting and freezing rain again). I have seen the dogs, wolves and cows Capt_Dan was talking about, but not the surfer and wave.

Skies have cleared...the PT is getting out of bed tomorrow!

LOW TIDE ... No luck at the Walmart 2 miles away... I did see the Cow Cookie Jar... no Surfer...

I checked their website but no luck there either...

Since Walmarts are spaced about 5 miles apart in from each other here in St. Louis... I will try to hit a few more tomorrow (off work today and tomorrow)...

We have had a nasty cold rain all day here so I've been working on my Cruiser in the garage - spending quality time with her...

I have my new rims in route and should arrive Fed Ex on Tues..... (been waiting over 2 months)

I may have to look on EBAY for that cookie jar if I can't find it at our Walmarts...

Thanks for inquiring... Take care, surfer girl...

No luck... yet... I have to make a few phone calls to some other Walmarts in the area...

Sounds really cool! Do you recall the price they were asking?
