Was posted over at a Local Car Forum in my town and I saw this thread about a Camel Spider Spotted in Iraq by some troops.. and sure this thing give me the creeps and they said there really fast and can chase you. now im scared.

Seen them, Scorpions, Mice, and Bugs like I have never seen before....and thats just last night.
I'm Qatar deployed right now, until mid summer as of right now

Hey man stay safe and take care! The misconception about those is that they are not really spiders in a way they are more like the scorpion (they are all in the Arachnid family). People also think that they eat on camels but tey usual eats bugs and small birds. The reason why I know this is during my time spent over there 2 years back I was the safety person for my sqaudron. I had to read all this stuff about them that I really didn't want to but it's scary when you see one run right in front of you in the night on the way to the bathroom!!

I saw those back when I was involved with Desert Storm. They're smaller than that picture indicates and they really aren't a threat to people. Nothing to be scared of. Here's some more info about them critters:
