Actually-a currant is a small berry.

[quote=lisa]Actually-a currant is a small berry. So I don't spell as good as I used too. I guess my head was jared once to often. So how do you like the Web Site or isn't that the point on the entry.?I guess most of you aren't former marines or you don't give a Sh&t. Do you ever notice there's always a couple of clowns on this forum and there always the same one's .Maybe you kids should grow up.

Did I offend you in some way? I did not quote you nor did I ridicule your post, I was just trying to clear things up-so people would understand. I did not ridicule you in any way-just posted definitions. I did like the website-thanks for posting it. Only marines get it-is that what you are saying-the rest of us don't care? If you don't like me, why don't you be man enough to say it instead of inferring that I am a "clown" and I need to "grow up". Sorry for trying to help!

And by the way-if I were trying to correct your spelling, I would correct "there always the same one's" to "they're always the same ones". "One's" should not be possessive and "they're" is the correct contraction for they are. Peace out!!!

Lisa, People speak in different ways all over the country. Is it correct for some to use the letter U for you. or the small i instead of I.Does it really matter ? I don't post here to offend anyone ,But some people just get to carried away with there correction's .Maybe these self elected people should ask Scott to be a spelling Administrator.Just kidding Lisa. Have a nice day every one. See you all in the funny papers.

You have a great day, too. I just wantd to make sure that people knew what you were saying-a couple people were confused. I have not corrected anyone's spelling at this site-so I am sorry if you feel I got carried away. If you had used an i or a U, your meaning would have still been clear-but you accidentally used the wrong word. I don't think we need a spelling adminstrator, but I would hope that if I (inadvertantly) used the wrong word, that someone would clarify what I was trying to say so that others could understand.

C'mon-I love the sound of a belt clearing belt loops-reminds me of when I used to get a whoopin'!
You have to get it on the first pull or it doesn't count!!

BigJim, didn't mean to offend. Really did think 'currant' was a nickname. So I guess spelling does matter sometimes. Have been to that site several times in the past and enjoyed it, but it was a good reminder to check it out again. Here's a website to check out, although not appealing to all Marines, just those few hundred involved in the history project. Although, maybe someone here was ITT and can help out the history project:
www.mcitta.org
One more thing, you should know better than telling Marines to 'grow up'. You know they never will

Look like (from your sig pic) that you already have.

Okay, anyone want to tell us where the term "gi-reen" came from?
