If a politician is too young to have been eligible for service during the Vietnam time period, i.e, the last time we had a draft, then that issue does not exist for them. Military service is a good thing for a politician to have, especially one who wants to be commander-in-chief of the armed forces...but I don't think it's is necessary at all. See? You got my position all wrong on that one, Lisa. Better put away the crystal ball. ![]()

Priceless-do you actually think that no president has had fellatio in the oval office before clinton?? You ARE naive!!! My bet is that they have ALL done it there. Some maybe with their wives. Taik is right-if the reps hadn't spent 40 million dollars trying to prove clinton did something wrong and then didn't make it stick-why is that clinton's fault?? Sounds like a republican falure to me. And the white house lost all of the "w"s on their keyboards-hee hee!!! I don't know about you, but I didn't need a shower-I didn't vote for clinton (I know you all think I did, but you would be wrong) so I had nothing to try to wash off-no stain sticking to me!!! You guys are WAY too serious. It is politics for goodness sakes. If you are not willing to acknowledge that ALL politics are corrupt, then you really don't get it. Republican party line-Stand by your man!! That is the important thing for you. Don't open your eyes or anything, just stand by your man!!! ![]()

I mean these are the people he cares about the most and if his moral standards are so low he doesn't mind causing them the pain and humiliation he did, it doesn't say a thing about his priorities and/or strength of character. Just because he can't maintain an honest relationship with his own family doesn't mean he won't maintain an honest relationship with the American people. If "nobody" cares about clintons school boy antics, it sure is funny Al Gore avoided him like the plaque during his presidential campaign and few democrats wanted him to endorse them for re-election. Sounds like they thought someone might care Just because you've "said it before and will say it again" that "nobody but a bunch of right wing wackos gives a crap about bill's, ect ect. doesn't mean it's true. Believe it or not, there are some people in this country that judge a person by their actions and would rather have a President with SOME moral standards. You know, someone their children can look up to and respect. Someone they themselves, can look at and say, that's a good man (or woman). And that IS the truth. -------------------------------- |

If instead of holding out that lie for 8 months if he just came clean early on it would have just been a footnote in history. Now it is his legacy. Here is a similar case handled by the Clinton DOJ. Read the story |

WOW,not look at this post for 24 hours......................
First off...WW2.Pearl Harbor...YES it was attacked.NO it was NOT U.S. soil.Hawaii didn't become a state until the 50's.It was a U.S. PROTECTORATE.But since the Japanese attacked american military targets...it was CONSIDERED(and rightfully so)an attack against the United States. So answer me this????Why were the attacks against the WTC in 1993(U.S. soil undoubtbly),Al Kohbar Towers in 1996(housing Air Force personelle),the U.S. Embassy attacks of 1998(which ARE considered U.S. soil) and the attack against the U.S.S. Cole(a major piece of U.S. military equipment that you and I as tax payers BOUGHT) NOT considered attacks against America by the PREVIOUS administration???Clearly...these attacks fit the same basic criteria. The National Gaurd NOT TRUE military...hahahahahah....HELLO.You people who have NEVER served obviously don't realize that National Gaurd men and women take the EXACT SAME oath to protect,up hold and defend the Constitution of the United States, with thier LIVES if neccessary that Active Duty forces do.And considering that nearly half of the deployed forces world wide are National Gaurd and Reserves.......In fact, the 209th Quarter Master Unit is currently returning from 1 year of active duty in Iraq to Tippicanoe County,Indiana. This is a National Gaurd unit, and unfortunately one of our local boys with that unit DIED in Iraq in service to our/his country. As to ole' Daddy Bush "Failing to go all the way" in 1991...and remove Saddam.Well,as one who actually served in Desert Shield and Storm with the 388th Fighter Wing,4th Combat AGE Team deployed from Hill A.F.B. Utah to Al Minhad A.B. United Arab Emerites.....Let me tell you a few things.....Shield and Storm was a coalition force that was actually a United Nations operation. With the United States providing 500,000 of 750,000 total forces used in the region. This roughly 2/3rds of the military being supllied by US was why we understandably LED the military execution of the operation.BUT,the UNITED NATIONS(NOT the United States)set the mandates, steps and basic rules of engagement to be used SHOULD combat hostilities be sparked off or all diplomatic approches fail(which they did).We went as far as the United Nations ALLOWED.ALL objectives WERE met and performed damn near flawlessly.IF we had gone on and ignored the United Nations and taken Saddam out...well guess what????We as a nation would have been ostricized by the world and it's people for being a BULLY and ignoring thier wishes. So for all those people who weren't there, don't know what was actually going on,or the vast political consequences that would have resulted, ole' "daddy" did damn good as a leader by us Service personelle in ALL branches over there.......MISSION ACCOMPLISHED,1991! InfernoRed : Frmr. SRA William Hatfield 388th Fighter Wing/4th Combat AGE Team "Fightin' Fujins" Hill A.F.B. Ut. deployed to Al Minhad A.B. United Arab Emerites,1990-1991 Don't worry my brothers and sisters in the Gaurds.......I understand you all make the potential difference between success and failure and that you make the same potential sacrifices.HONOR the dead who served,RESPECT the living who are or have served....for without them, our DEBATE would not take place. |
