And What a Mod!!!







I snapped my rear drive shaft into shrapnel, luckly its 4 wheel drive now limping around on front wheel drive. The shop is replacing it. It had been custom built and was suppose to be rated for 1000hp, I guess not.

Bill, you know that I love your mods, but have you maybe gone too far with Sammy? Seems like the new engine is breaking every part it is in contact with.

Its an 1986 Suzuki Samrai with tricked out S10 V6 dyno'd around 242hp Edlebrock manifold and dual 390cfm Webber carbs

When I picked it driving next a ricer I pulled away from a light and left a burn wheel burn out about 10 ten feet long.

The other day I didn't step on it at all, I was pulling away from a light on a highway then there was a huge BAM !! Followed by lots of &*#$%&
This thing has so much torque is not funny I already broke a weld on the transfer case and had problems a motor mount. Its alot of fun I drive this thing to work when its not in the shop. Accually its running really good now except I only have one drive shaft powering the front wheels

so if the drive shaft is gone now, would that make it a stage 1 weight reduction

I thought about 383 Chevy crate engine but I can't afford to go overboard on 2 cars at the same time.. I did remember seeing a Samurai running with a blown 5 liter mustang engine and NOS.. It did the best burnout ever. even with the tricked out V6 it goes like Stink. It has 572 gears on the rear end for rock clrawliing

Really, Bill, if you want to keep a garage queen, go ahead. But that Suzy isn't going to take the power you want to jam in her. Dump it and find a used (gasp!) American 4x4 that's made to handle V-8 power. A vintage Cherokee would be a good mule.
