Default What the??

I had a strange problem this morning. For some unknown reason, random words letters, and sometimes gibberish would auto populate when I clicked on an open text form on the web. I've rebooted and it has gone away. Has anyone seen this before??

Dan

I would say you were having a 60's flashback, but you're not old enough.

Dan

you mean when you're on a page where you enter things like name, address, email address, etc.?

Are you using the google toolbar? It has an "autofill" option to "help" you aout.

Microsoft also "helps" if you have a .Net passport enabled to do the same when you enter sites that are their partners.

Yeah those fields. Except it had nothing to do with the mouse or autofills. I would just sit back in my chair and see random words pop up in the field that I selected!! Welcome to the Twilight zone.

if you enable it on the browser to remember previous entries, when you double-click in a field and it has been used before, a drop down will appear with the previous entries so you can choose from them.

I only enable this on my home PC since I'm pretty much the only one that uses it. At work or any other computer I always disable that option.

If that's not what you experienced - new one on me

It was definately not that. It was like a fricken ougea board spouting out random words. Really freaky.
