I finally saw it Saturday...and it was an awesome, powerful film. Most movies are for entertainment, but not this one. Everyone who sees it will come away with their own observations, but for me...it was worth the effort to go and see it.

Saw it again yesterday with some different friends. Same reaction, it leads to some wonderful conversation after a long silence after the movie. It's hard to belive that one human could do such things to another, no matter if you believe he was the son of God or not.

I saw it and I thought it was a unbelievable movie. No suger coating.

One thing that really touched my wife was looking at it through a mothers eyes.

Thanks Mel

I went to see 'The Passion' of Mel last night and do not regret it. Having said that, once is enough unless you have trouble reading captions while following the endless flogging. The few flashback scenes were a welcome relief from the gore. The part where they flip the cross to bend the nails was where I wanted to avert my eyes. /\/\om_Lady had several such occasions.

There is so much guilt being spread around that I'm not surprised that Father Anthony reccommended seeing it. I hope that none of you can trace your lineage to King Herod if this picture is any indication of his mental capacity. Overall, it was well acted. The apostles were no saints. Ciaphus (sp?) was cold to the bone and that Satan character, ooh, not much screen time but what an impact! The Romans were well casted, total brutes. I'm not here to argue the facts, just reporting on what I saw.

Since we all pretty much know the dialog, it's not really a problem that it's in Aramaic and Latin. I'm guessing that the DVD will have English but I won't be adding it to my collection.

Life's a cruise...

Thanks Johnny,

(Now I know why he never answers my e-mails.)

Any way you spell it, that was one blood-thirsty holy man.

I told Fr. Anthony (my Bible studies teacher) that I had seen the movie; He was pleased.

Another day in Paradise...
