Show me the post where I said I had reached perfection.

SOME Christians, including myself, have tempers and don't like to have words put in our mouths.

SOME Christians, including myself, recognize "snide crap" when they see it and don't necessarily ignore it when it comes in their direction.

( the whole thing could have been avoided all together if you had just read the friggin post before reacting. )

I believe in predestination but I haven't gotten that far yet

I don't want to get too far off topic or start a theological debate, but man Mel is a little nutty there. He made is bed because of free will, not Devine inspiration. If I failed a test, I blame myself for not studying hard enough, not the Holy One.

2 bits

Sorry dude, I just stated fact & asked a question! Soooooooooooo not quite seein' your "friggin" irritable comment towards this reaction thing! Chill pill time????????????
ANYWAY............................................ ..........................(on topic) I'm neither Christian NOR a member of any methodized religion, but I am lookin' forward to seein' the flick, myself! Seems a well told & heartfelt interpretation of a popular story!
I haven't met Mel, as I'm guessin' no one else here has, so can't fairly judge him! As an actor, I've enjoyed being entertained by him, which has been his job! His personal life isn't for ANY of us to judge (first stone & all), even though he has admitted to his PAST regressions & has promised to never commit them again!
The making of this movie seems to be his attempt at redemption! Perhaps he has plans to donate the profits? Do any of us know? Perhaps in the making of this film was his pilgrimage!
Don't think God hates those who profit fairly, even from him/her/it (unless he/she/it doesn't get his/her/it's cut )!
Anyway, I'm figurin' only those who've seen the movie, can genuinely comment, criticize, or laud it!

Hey All PT'ers:

Now that THE PASSION has made $ 265,000,000 in just 3 short weeks,
let's keep the discussion going!

A box office phenomenom in just 3 weeks - - and the movie is not even
released yet....in Europe and Overseas!

This movie is destined to surpass TITANIC, which is the #1 Highest
Grossing Movie ever - - - at just a bit over $ 600,000,000.00.

Reports have it, THE PASSION will come near, or jump well above and
past $ 1 BILLION DOLLARS in Worldwide Ticket Sales !!

My sincere appreciation to all of you, for your thoughts on the movie!

Johnny D

I went yesterday, and found the movie absolutely incredible and magnificent. Being Catholic, this was the best launch for Lent I've ever had in my life!

For my own personal thoughts to share with all of you - - with respect for everyone else's own opinions and thoughts - -

- - I did not find anything controversial with the movie.

- - Yes, there was violence....but completely "different" violence, and
unlike the "entertaining violence" of mainstram movies - - of which
no one makes any controversy.

- - Yes, there was blood....but I felt it is "Good Blood", being shed by
Jesus for ALL of mankind, not for just Catholics or a select few.

- - I became "numb" to the violence and blood, after the first ten
minutes of the film.

- - I did not possess any dislikes, nor hate, for ANYONE of the Jewish
faith - - nor any other religious group - - either before the movie
began nor after it ended.

- - The cinematography, filming location in Matera (Italy), and the
Dolby Digital Surround Sound have to be experienced to be
believed.

- - It is not "The Gospel According To Mel Gibson".

Thank you all, for allowing me to share my thoughts with all of you -
I am much appreciative!

My sentiments exactly... i thought it to be a very powerful movie. and i took my kids to see it. afterwards when we got home there was silence in the house for an hour. After that a discussion... very promising that my children found it to be as powerful as i

I think its great that a family can gather around and talk about things. A movie is what people make of it, good or bad. Everyone has an opinion and are entitled to it. I still think it great that families sit down and discuss things together.
