Some friends saw it over the weekend and they said they almost hurled into their popcorn. Apparently, the blood and gore is a little intense. Be warned.

Not unusual for a Gibson movie...maybe he needed a little comic relief, like Jesus escaping & then wiping out all the Romans & (other) Jews with the help of Danny Glover! & who could say it didn't happen that way?

Even if I don't watch it, I will buy the DVD.
I am going to it twice now. Thanks.

Thumbs up Re: Mel Gibson's The Passion

Is it any wonder the movie was #1 at the Box Office ????

Everyone who rightfully believed in the movie, went just
because of it - - - and everyone else who had their doubts full of controversy, also went because of their curiosity.

Although the movie is a bit intense for children, I would say, under the age of 12 - - - any parent should use their own judgement call on the movie. I know of two eleven year-olds who saw the movie, and were OK with it.

I cannot wait to see it again, this coming week!

Doesn't everyone believe that if Jesus were alive today - - - he would
be driving a PT Cruiser ???

Maybe the "PT" would then stand for:

"Passionate Transportation"

AMEN !!!

This might be of interest...tonight on the History Channel:

The Passion of The Christ

Monday, March 1 @ 11pm ET/PT

How true is Hollywood to history? What are the real stories behind the people and events portrayed? Featuring interviews with historians, the director, producers, actors, and film clips, we compare history with Mel Gibson's "The Passion of The Christ", "a vivid depiction of the last 12 hours of Jesus Christ's life with James Caviezel and Monica Belluci." Our panel delves into the controversy around the film, including charges of anti-Semitism, and finds out why Jesus speaks in Latin and Aramaic. TV PG

Well we are going to see it.

The one thing I would dearly love is in the possession of my great aunt. Her and her friends (92 y/o Doctor, couple of 80+ y/o obgyn's, 70+ y/o psych prof) have translated the true Latin dictionary into English. Took them a few years and she's told me it would curl your hair! THAT I would find interesting.

Let him keep a fair amount for his efforts and donate the rest.

I have a problem with him making a PROFIT from the crucifixion of Christ.
What of the profits all the other movies made of Jesus Christ? I would guess the studios, actors, directors, and all the other people involved in movie making all had their hands out and kept the profits.
