Default need a computer expert
I did a dumb thing and loaded the Jimmy Buffet disc in the SI Swimsuit issue. Now I cant delete AOL from from my computer. I run XP and have MSN, I've tried add/delete programs to no avail. Is AOL like herpes, learn to live with it, or can it be killed?
Ps I liked the music!

Try going to Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore. Use System Restore to revert to the last Restore Point before you were invaded by AOL and all should be as it was before. (If only life were like that!)

If that fails go to "Start" "Run" "Regedit"

do a search for "AOL" and deleted the keys, but only if all else fails.

My advice- Send the swimsuit issue to me and I will check out the specs before deciding what to do with Jimmy Buffet...

I know those steps work, but editing the registry keys is very, very tricky and potentially dangerous. I would say try everything short of editing the registry and see if the environment is acceptable before venturing into regedit.

Yes, AOL is like herpes. You will screw something up trying to get rid of it totally unless you are EXTREMELY computer literate.
Just live with whats left, and maybe let AOL know how pissed you are about it.
