Tell us more about this band. How long have they been around for and what other songs have they done. I have not heard of this band before so tell as much as you can about them. Thanks

How would you compare it to their last disc? Is it similar or do they change it up?

The last one was listenable for sure. I can't believe how many people dinged it as "Maynard lite" just because it was different than his work with Tool. I mean - isn't that the reason for having side projects - to do something different?

I just picked this up i think the day it came out..or the day after....I gave it one listen all the way thru in my car....it hasen't grown on me yet....or at least i didnt get a good taste of it....A lot of more mellower or more moody numbers on this. While the last album wasn't a hard-rocker either, i think there were more "heavier" sections on that disc. Maynard has such a signature voice though...and there is good talent in the band members...so im sure i'll find it to be a worthy buy!

PT Ted, here is some info on the band. they have been around for a couple years, the lead singer, Manyard james Keenan, is also the lead singer of the band Tool, Billy Howerdel the guitarists used to be a guitar tech for the smashing pumpkins, the bassist is Jeordi White, who is the former bassist from marilyn manson. the drummer is Josh Freese. And they just picked up James Iha from the smashing pumpkins. So there are a lot of different influences on this record. Their two singles from their last Album were "judith" and "3 libras". They are starting to go on tour in a few days. mostly on the east coast.hmmm, cant think of anything else, other then to say pick up, its a good cd to cruise to in my opinion
