Default Looking for info

I need a hitch for my Jeep. It is a '95. We are doing a trip to meet my sister in AZ next month. She is moving out there form DE to attend Grad school. She will be bringing some furniture across with her for us to pick up. I've got 3 vehicles, and not a one has a hitch! As much as I'd like to cruise to Tucson from SanDiego in my cruiser, the Jeep is better suited for pulling a Uhaul trailer. So, I need a hitch.

Any suggestions on brands/stores/sellers would be helpful. Just for S&G, I stopped by the Jeep dealership. With a straight face, the salesman quoted me $189 for the hitch alone, plus the downbar and ball!

Thanks for your help.

Andy

I had a Class2 hitch installed on my '93 Cherokee (including wiring) for $125 from a local U-Haul place. Now that was 9 years ago, so prices might have gone up. Class 2 will handle up to 3500 lbs (which is max for a Cherokee automatic).

p.s. HIGHLY recommend getting an auxiliary trans fluid cooler. Can save your tranny.
