Default What to do with the Carolina Hurricanes (IM ONLY JOKING THOUGH)

Since Toronto has now advanced to the final four in their quest for Lord Stanelys cup, they have to take on the Carolina Hurricances.

PT Patty (who is the director of sales for a hotel in the TO area) has signed a deal with the Carolina Hurricances for the team to stay at her hotel when in town for the games this series.

Given that info, what can TO fans do to the Hurricanes to ensure the Leafs moving on? Can we barracade the hotel? Send rowdy kids in to make noise all night so the players cant sleep and are not rested? Food poisening? ;D

So many ideas, so little time.

In case anyone is wondering I want to state.......
THIS IS A JOKE!!!!! I am not looking to do that kind of stuff.... Im only a sports fan.

I am not serious at all, but it would be fun to think of evil ideas to help the Leafs win!!! There are also talks with Detroit and Colorado from what I know about the same arrangement if/when they win and WHEN the Leafs win this series......

Well, if the Maple Leafs make it to the finals, you Toronto fans better start making plans now on how to disturb the Red Wings when they are there at the hotel. Because it will be for only two games because of the 4-0 sweep at the expense of the Maple Leafs.

Matt - let the trash talking start now

Now if memory serves me correctly, didn't Bobby Holik come down with food poisoning while in Toronto last year or the year before that in the NJ/To series. Did I find the culprit? I love my PT family, but I love my NJ Devil's more. I WILL be keeping an eye on you....lol.

I like Carolina a lot, but my guess is that Tor will have to do nothing but play hockey to beat Carolina. Even though Car has opened my eyes more then I would have ever given them credit for, I still don't see them as the superior team. Plus, with Canada winning gold this year, and Tor the last Canadian team around, I think Canada may be destined to keep up the good showing.

Reminds me of a sign that I saw when I went to the World Series parade (back when the Jays were contenda's!):

OUR DOMINICANS BEAT YOUR DOMINICANS!

How many Canuckleheads are actaully on the Hurricanes, or NY Islanders, OR on the Leafs?

Which makes booing the Canadian anthem in NY all the more funny...

It would have been neat to have a Montreal/Toronto conf. final (and have home ice advantage, which seems to be really benficial!), and of course to have the Leafs advance to the final (last cup was '67). Being a player since 67, and a resident of the Greater Toronto Area, having Stanley come home would be a once-in-a-life-time opportunity! Even my 8 year old is hyped.

There were parades, and celebrations here (20 minutes North) when the Gold medal was won, imagine if the Buds bring home the Most Sacred Sports trophy on the planet!

The poor guy down on the corner was selling car-flags for $15 Cdn last nite... Magically they will be $25 today- Capitalism!!

I think for the Leafs to beat Carolina, Matts needs to return, Corson needs to get mean, and Domi needs a few more shifts- especially in game one which will ber a nightmare for Toronto.

TO get by Detroit- Toronto needs alot of praying...

You are being realistic on that. It's like if God had a hockey team, who would be on it? Half of the Red Wings at least and Scott Bowman as coach. They are well rested now with Colorado still playing so hopefully those old veterans will ready to go. Just hate to see Roy get hot (which he usually does) and drag out the series to 6 or 7 games if the Wings play them. If that is the case, Toronto's odds are at least a little better if we play them. If Detroit breezes through Colorado or San Jose, look out.

Sean: Although the booing of each other's anthems was a two way street, there is nothing but support for Canada from my end. Although I understand how patriotism always is an underlying theme between Canadian and US based teams, the booing of the national anthem is unnessasary and pathetic, especially when you do come to recognize the citizenships of several of the playes on your respective team...very glad to have Canada as a neighbor! Nothing but respect...
