Just a thought folks. Those of you who have the gas line routed that way (You especially, SillyEagle) should file a complaint with the NHTSA, that they can open an investigation and generate a recall.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll take a look at my car at lunch.

I just checked mine. All OK. There is about 1.5 inches between gas line and AC tube. Mine was built 1/2/01, so it may only be on the earlier models.
Thanks for the post! I am going to put this link on the General Discussion board. I think the severity of this problem warrants it. Last edited by Dreamacre : 2nd July 2002 at 08:56 AM. |

I just checked mine and SURE Enough, the gas line was located right where it shouldn't have been.
I inspected it and there was NO visible wear to the hose. I just re-routed the hose as per the photos above. I also dropped my K&N Filter in while I was under there. Thank You Stef !!

You may want to check the arrow in the picture.I have never seen a rubber hose used on a fuel injected engine. maybe in the old day's, but not today. The m.t.b.e .would eat it up .Also to much pressure on the fuel line to be rubber.
