Thank God you caught it dreamer!

I don't mind telling ya.. this one was a tad too close for comfort! I'm just glad Sass wasn't in the car with me... dunno how it would have affected her... glad I didn't have to find out too!

They must have fixed this on late model '01 Cruisers. Mine looks pretty much like the picture on the left...

...but, maybe a little closer to the A/C lines. I put a plastic tie on it just to be safe.

That's one of the reasons I love this site. I get the best advice... even if I didn't know I needed it.

Just checked mine, looks OK but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the "heads up". Mine's got nylon braid over the hose, is there nylon braid over your hose?

Rick..

Yep.. just like the one in the pic. Hard to tell I guess.. but that is some sort of braided plastic.

GREAT JOB ON POSTING SOME PICTURES!!!

Thanks Silly Eagle!!!

Hope everyone checks under their hood for this potential problem...

(Dreamer... I have some extra ties if you need one... just let me know and I'll bring it to the 4th of July Parade on Thurs. morning)

I've got a late 2001 (auto) also and my gas line is nowhere near the A/C lines. Thanks for the heads up, though. I'm sure a lot of Cruiser owners will benefit.

I have a very early 2002 model and my fuel line is nowhere near the A/C lines but glad I checked...
