![]() Any tips on how to get a minor door ding out? Thanks.

Sorry to hear about a first ding. Although I don't have first hand experience with them, I've heard good things about paintless dent removal.
Good to see the maintenance section is back up! |-)

Call dent Pro or someone like them.
They do a great job on most dents, and no paint repair needed. ![]()

I had several "dings" removed from my wifes car by (what around Chicago) is known as Dent Busters. They do whats called Paint-less dent removal..
They can't do anything to large, but door dings is what they do best. Could not find the marks after they were done.

I have actually seen the results of "paintless dent removal" and was amazed. It was a dent about twice the size of your fist and say 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep in a front door. after he was finished (and he did it on the car) you could see no trace at all. Only thing is I hear you have to find someone that has been properly trained in the procedure.

Actually, I do typically park away from most other cars.
Not so far as to provoke a negative reaction from the a**holes that see a nice car parked far away as an invitation to park next to you and ding the door out of spite, but definitely with a buffer of empty spaces around the car. This one time, I parked in a space flanked by a pair of vans. They were both a good distance from their side of the line, so the space wasn't even a risky choice. Apparently, the passenger of one of the vans decided to open their door all the way (and into my door) when they got in. :-( I guess it's too much to expect people to try to not make door-to-door contact in a parking lot.
