Default Cleaning Wheel Wells

What does anybody use to clean up under your wheel wells ?
Especially the plastic peices. Everything I have tried and they
still look dull and dingy to me . I want to get them looking black
again.

Thanks

I have always kept them clean (soap, water, rag, brush) and then used the same product on them that I use on my tires...mine are nice and shiny!!!!

I just use Windex and paper towels to wipe them off after washing the car.

I use that foamy tire cleaning stuff. Spray it on and leave it. Works good on tires too.

I take my tires off quarterly and scrub the whole area. Strut towers, springs, lower A arms, and backside of the wheels. Then I use armour all on the plastic, but use a wet sponge to wipe it down and towel dry it.
Sci got me to try the Engine Kote stuff on the engine compartment, worked good, gonna try it on the wheel wells.
Its water based though so the first rain you drive in will rinse it off.

It depends. If really dirty, with caked up mud, you need to throughly hose the wheel well to loosen and remove most of the dirt. Then use wheel well brush (or to to the house cleaning section and buy the same brush for a lot less) to gently scrub off the rest of the dirt. Any other oil based gunk, can use another wheelwell brush (not the same one) or a rag after you spray on some non-acidic wheel cleaner (remember you are dealing with plastic). Rinse throughly and wash with car shampoo and rinse again. Then you can use your favorite plastic or vinyl protectant (use a satin formula if you dont want the liner to appear shiny or buff it with a rag to take off any excess product), some use back-to-black or black magic if the liner looks discolored or even paint it. For heavy duty applications or severe conditions, use bedliner spray.
