Default Interesting new technique

I was chatting with Sci-fi the other day and I noticed on his personal website that he used a wax on top of the Zaino shine.
I went to the Harley dealer today and picked some up. S100...dont know much about it but gonna try his method of finishing and see how it works. He says the results are better then just Zaino, so I have to see for myself.
Since Feb 01 the Cruiser hasnt had anything else on it, so this could be interesting. Ill post a 'review' tomorrow when Im done polishing the Cruiser up.

S100 or P21S wax is basically the same product. It's just S100 costs $10 less and is targeted toward the motorcycle crowd. You can do a search and find S100 and P21S for sale on the net. It's probably cheaper to just stop by your local HD or motorcycle shop and buy it there (no shipping charges). There is also a S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser or P21S Gloss-Enhancer Paintwork Cleansing Lotion product that can be used before waxing. It makes the paint surface extra slick (wouldn't recommend using the shine enhancer if you already have Zaino on your car, but would recommend using S100 or P21S Shine/Gloss Enhancer on a new car or on paint that had just been polished/detailed with a swirl mark remover BEFORE using Zaino, S100/P21S wax,or any glaze/wax for that matter, for maximum shine). Some use the Shine Enhancer before every waxing, but 2-3 times a year or between every 6+ coats of S100 wax is usually the norm. The other products available are under the P21S name: P21S car shampoo, P21S wheel cleaner (rated #1 for years), etc. You can order the kit here: Top of the Line Detailing Supplies for $39.95, which includes just about everything at a discount price and it comes in a nice case too.

Since you use Zaino, you can use Z-6 on top and inbetween coats/layers of S100. I have been using Clearkote's Quik Shine as my quick detailer of choice, regardless of what wax or polish I am using. I find it leaves the surface slicker than even Z-6.

S100/P21S is a very easy wax to use, just apply it thinly in 2-4 ft-sq sections, or one door, half the hood, you get the idea, and then immediately wipe/buff it off. Can't get any easier than that. Takes about the same amount of time as using a quick detailer. Because of the ease of use, many opt to wax their car with S100/P21S wax after a weekly washing. No waiting for it to haze, doesn't stain trim, plus no mixing, shaking, or measuring as with some other products. As the wax cures over the next day or 2, you may notice an increase in shine and depth, although it looks great after you apply it. If you don't like it, then you can always do a Dawn wash and go back to layering Zaino. Zaino is a great product, but it just didn't give me the look I subjectively wanted.

I did a search on Yahoo for S100 and wax and found quite a few vendors. It is sold specifically as a motorcycle polish. All the labelling and paperwork with the wax says Motorcycle and bike.

I bought some today at the local Harley place down the street from me for $14.95. I put some on the hood and it was very easy to put on and take off. It started sprinkling so I didn't do the rest of the car yet. I put it over top of the Mother's reflections polish already on the car. Is that a good idea?

S100/P21S is non-abrasive and, IMHO, looks good whether used by itself or as a topper (over glazes, waxes, or synthetic wax/polish/sealents). Should notice a different (tighter and smaller) beading pattern from the rain on the section you applied S100 compared to the rest of the hood.
