Default 12" Sub Box Positioning

I'm not really good with speakers. I've had two 8" Bazooka tubes in the bake since about 2003 and they're getting a bit old now. A friend recently gave me a sub box for 12" speakers. Now my question is: Do I face the box towards the seats or the hatch??? And Does anyone have suggestions for 12" subs???

Sub Bass is Omni directional it can point down or to the hatch like mine, I have 8 10 inch subs, 4 facing to the hatch now I ran out of room and in the process of adding 4 more Yellow top Batteries along 4 - 10 MTX subs facing forward. Subs can face in any direction

This pinto was 20,000 watts of amps, one 24 inch SPL Sub facing forward and 2 15 inch Subs facing down, Here is the Pinto showing 5 4,000 watt amps

one thing that you NEED to remember amps, speakers and Batteries weight a ton
this Pinto has 2200 pounds of amps, speakers, fiberglass, batteries and other crap. The Pinto is totally unsafe on the road and is trailered everywhere. This car was popping wheelies just moving it into a a building from a trailer. It needs a 4 Link suspension and air bags

If i were u Id face the box towards the hatch. The sound bouces off the hatch and throws the bass forward...... And I recommend Infinity Subs and Kicker Amps/subs too...

I have found Pioneer Premeir, Xtant, Kaption all sound Awesome.
Unfortunately their isn't a Kicker retailer where I live in Canada but they produce some serious power. I was also impressed with MTX new premier line. Alpine and JL also make great stuff.

One I would not buy is Sony Explode they are over priced, and over rated. I made a guy really mad at a SPL contest he had 5 Sony amps, I have a Pioneer 4 channel and one Xtant 1001x where the ratings are very conservative.

I just put a single 10'' MTX sub in my '07, and the box is positioned towards the hatch, and it sounds NIIIICE in my opinion!! :-)

I'm not real voiced, so to speak, on the brands, but the sub I use is an older MTX, the amp is a RockfordFosgate, and the deck is a Sony. Still tweaking the settings to find exactly the sound i want.....
