Geez - doesn't anyone read my posts?

Really, though, I just had one installed in our Dreamer. It's unpowered, so I also needed an amp (JL Audio also). A picture wouldn't show much, since all you'll see is black mesh on the hole in the rear area where it is installed. It packs decent punch, but I think because of the acoustics of the PT, not as much as a in-trunk car installation.

They are expensive - $400+ on their own. I did not replace the head unit (yet), so the limitations of adjustability on the OEM head unit (bass & treble) don't enable me to fine tune the overall sound.

I've had mine for almost a year now and love it. I have 250 watts RMS running through it as well as 100 watts RMS running through the front 6.5's. When you put all that together, it sounds amazing. I wouldn't call it booming bass; it is just a 10". However, that isn't to say you can't hear it coming down the street. I attached a pic of mine and a link to jl's site

http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/ptcruiser.html

hope this helps

I've got a couple of pics. Here it is as it gets installed:
(and another to follow that shows after.) It is driven by an Alpine head unit, and and Alpine amp.

here's the installed photo - it really is named correctly, there's not much to show. You can't see it, but you sure can hear and FEEL it.

I have had mine for about 7 months now. I have an amp mounted under the driver seat to power it. I think it sounds awesome. Vibrates the seats when you turn it up. They claim it has the best sound because of where it is mounted against the vehicle. I think it has much more bass than the tube styles out there.

I've got one in my PT. I too wanted the sound, but did not want to take up usable space. I've got Alpine amps mounted under both front seats, one for the sub (300 watt mono) and one for the front (260 watt 4channel).

It sounds great, although I can't recall playing it when the rear shelf was out of the car. i'll have to see what difference that makes.

We were driving down the road the other day listening to the stereo cranked up with the windows closed. A car pulled along side and the guy looked at us like he couldn't believe what was coming out the PT. His face looked so funny that my 10 year old and I both cracked up.

Cheers to great sound!
