Default multi amp question

I have a 300w amp for my sub.
It has a power distribution box that it runs through. I assume that if I want to get new C pillar speakers I can run them through another dedicated amp that I attached to the distribution box.
If I want to run 150w (peak infinity's) through the amp, how powerful of an amp do I need. I know that if I want to run the door speakers through the amp, I'd need a mutlichannel amp. I figured I could still run the oversized tweeters or component through the head unit.
Does Kenwood make a more compact amp that I can fit under the seat? The R-F 300w I have now barely fits now.

so are you wanting both a new more compact sub amp and a new amp to power the infinity's? if so, i would go ahead and get a 4 channel and bridge 2 channels to put to the sub and put the other 2 channels to the infinity's. if you list what exactly you want to do and what equipment you have, then i may be able to give you more ideas.

later,
chad

Pioneer DEH6500 head unit
Rockford Fosgate 2 channel Punch 300 300W Amp
R-F 12" Sub
Amp is bridgeable

Space is an issue,as I want to keep storage space in back and prefer to keep the amps under seat.

Measure space you have to use 1st. Then use that as part of your selection process. I ran into same problem. I bought an amp I really wanted because of sound quality. Then I found out its same size as another one I have already that won't fit either.

So I have to make a decision ma I gonna keep it & mount elsewhere or am I gonna sell it & find something else. I theory, am multi-channel amp will do. It's what fits the space thats the issue.

BTW, look for a amp with a built in electronic xover to simplify the install.

So far amps I have that will fit is a 2x50W xtant & a 4x30W alpine.both have xovers but I may use a external one for more variation.

In my case, the Xtant will run fronts, 2 channels of Alpine for rear. Then 2 channels of Alpine bridged to a single sub.

I wanted to run 2 xtant amps. the second one is a 3150. 2x25W for rear & 1x100W to the sub. but space is limited for where I need to put it. Maybe a false floor in the rear of the PT...

as gr8flpt said above, give a measurement of max space. do you want to replace the rf amp, or add another amp to it? if it was me, i would replace that amp with a 4 channel. you might look into mtx, alpine, us acoustics depending on how much you want to spend. i think i am personally goung to get a 5-channel amp to run a set of components in the front and maybe another set in the back, and a sub.

I back up Charwood3 a bit. keep the RF amp, if you like it why replace it. But if space is the issue, then finding the right amp to fit is critical. Xtant makes a mono digital amp thats the footprint of a CD case! But its $$$

5-6 of those would fit under your seats NP! but then you'd need a second morgage. I hear that they are one of the best sounding amps on the market. I looked into them but the price put me off.

I kept the RF 2channel 300w.
Got a 301x 4 channel.
Have a better installer putting them in so it will be a good set up.

well the reason i said to get rid of the rf amp is b/c he seemed to have a space issue. in my opinion, the best way to go to use the least space would be to run 1 amp instead of 2. seems he got what he wanted though so alls well that ends well.

I have a pioneer 4 channel 240 watt amp under the Passenger seat and hope to be adding 2 XTANT mono blocks in the back.
My only bone of contension is my installer wants to make a Perminant install for the subs and amps and I want it to be semi removable incase I need load stuff in the back
